Day Date at The Patch

​Making time for each other doesn’t have to be complicated, fancy, or expensive. In fact, it can be just the opposite!  If you’re looking for a day date that celebrates some of the best things in rural Missouri, we’ve got you covered!
 
Stop 1: Pigskin

Swing in for an early lunch and discover one of Brookfield’s favorite local hangouts! Pigskin’s cozy, dive feel mixed with its high quality bar style menu, full bar and great selection of beers makes it’s the perfect place to start your day date right! Don't stress if the whole family is with you, this local establishment is super family friendly!  Pigskin is known for its wings and pizza (you won’t go wrong with any of them!) but many locals will point you towards the burgers, wraps and sandwiches, only offered at lunch time.

​Stop 2: UnWined and Shop

Saturdays 10 AM – 6 PM
 
 Head back to Main Street and go south a few blocks to stop in at UnWined. This not so-hidden gem right on Main Street is an experience inside a store, with a full on wine bar located right inside! If one of you is into shopping and the other not so much, no worries. Grab a drink while your better half explores the unique and fun selections. Before you leave, grab the Pumpkin Patch Special Wine Basket. You’ll get a bottle of wine, two tickets to the patch, meat, cheese and crackers plus the cups and plates to enjoy at Uptown Farms.  Add on another bottle of wine or some beer if you’d like, and head out to Uptown Farms. 

​Stop 3: Uptown Farms

Saturdays/Sundays Noon to 5 PM
 
Turn your tickets in at the Country Store and ask for a wine chiller to help keep your bottle cold! If you need a corkscrew ask at the store counter. Find a table to call your own and enjoy a glass of your UnWined bottle while taking in some of the simple Pumpkin Patch scenery!   If you catch the patch on a day with live music, it starts at 2 p.m.  Don’t leave without trying your luck in the corn maze, riding the hayride to the pumpkin patch and picking out the perfect front porch pumpkin!  Oh, and chances are you won’t be able to pass up a dozen donuts either. It’ll be the perfect compliment to that UnWined basket!  

​Stop 4: Overton’s Helm Street Inn

Saturdays: 7AM – 1AM (Breakfast until 10AM, lunch/dinner 11 AM – 8:30 PM)
Sundays: 7AM – 11AM (Breakfast), Lunch 11AM  - 2:30 PM
 
You can’t leave Brookfield without stopping in at The Helm!  This place is the classic small-town bar, with good food (go for the steak dinner if you’re still hungry), great drinks and an authentic local bar atmosphere that you can’t find in very many places anymore. If you want to do Helm Street like the locals, park behind the building, come in from the side door and grab a seat at one of the long tables with people you’ve never met before!   Live music offered many weekends.
